Three companies help the City to collect your
garbage, recycling, and yard trimmings.
 |
Norcal
Waste Systems is new to San José but has
extensive experience in Northern California. They now serve
about 80% of the City’s 195,000 single-family homes citywide
by collecting their garbage and recycling.
|
 |
GreenTeam
also shares the collection of garbage and recycling but now
operates in a smaller district than it did in the past, serving
about 45,000 single-family homes. GreenTeam, who has worked
with the City since 1993, continues to collect from all of
the 85,000 multi-family homes (apartments, condominiums, and
mobile homes).

GreenWaste
Recovery and Norcal
now share the job of collecting yard trimmings and sweeping
residential streets, each serving about half the city.
